Do you want to level your warrior fast? Then follow these few simple strategies and you will be level eighty in no time!

Warrior is a melee class that does pure physical damage and is one of the strongest classes in game. When you first start playing a warrior, he may seem weak at first, but he is far from that, I assure you! Warriors do not have any real healing abilities like druids or paladins and are unable to keep target stun-locked like rogues. But don’t get discouraged, if you play your warrior right you will be killing creatures so fast you won’t need healing abilities. Mechanics of warriors are based around rage and stances. Each stance limits you to certain abilities and buffs you in a certain way. Most of warrior abilities cost rage and you build up your rage by doing or taking damage.

Now, since we have learned some of the main facts, let us have a look at warrior leveling. The key to fast leveling is to minimize down time. Down time refers to the time while you are not getting any experience. Several factors influence down time. How often you need to sit and eat, how fast you move, how fast you kill monsters, etc. These factors will depend on your spec, gear and how organized you are.

Let us start by reviewing specs that are viable for warrior leveling. Prot, Arms and Fury are warrior’s talent trees. Specs are based on these trees and thus we have Fury, Arms and Protection specs. Which one to use? This decision should be based on three factors, how fast you can kill a monster, how much damage will you take while killing it and how much self healing can you do in that spec. These factors will define your down time. Now, in protection spec you will take least damage but will also do least damage. Optimal spec is definitely Fury, as talents in that tree will provide you with enough self healing to avoid frequent eating breaks.

Warrior is one of the most gear dependant classes in game. This means that having good gear is very important for your damage. Warriors need slow weapons as slow weapons have higher top damage. Top damage of the weapon is calculated in your abilities. Higher top damage of your weapon means that you are able to do bigger hits. At level 40 you will become eligible to use plate gear. Plate will provide you with more armor that reduces physical damage taken and also, through talents, it will increase your attack power. Attributes that are important for warriors are: strength, stamina, critical rating, agility (at lower levels), hit rating, armor penetration, expertise and haste.  If you already have a level 80 character, getting heirloom items would be of great help to you as they will scale as you level, speeding up the whole process. Not to mention the fact that some of them increase experience gained from killing monsters.

Being well organized is the third keystone of fast warrior leveling. When you get into a certain town or zone, pick up all quests and try to complete as many as possible without traveling too much before you turn them in, as most of the quests will lead you to the same part of the zone. Secondly, you need to take advantage of battleground leveling. Blizzard changed the battleground so that you gain experience while doing them. Amount of experience you can get in a single battleground is quite large so in order to speed up your warrior leveling you should also queue for battlegrounds and join them as soon as you are invited into one.

Following these tips will optimize your warrior leveling and make it more efficient. Good luck and have fun!
